Walk To Your PurePod

The walk up to Tāima PurePod is an easy 300m nature walk. Take your mind back to the gold mining days when these pathways were once used for sluicing gold through water races. Tāima PurePod sits 350m above sea level, so you could be walking through the clouds to find your secluded PurePod.

A Secluded Setting

Privacy is assured at the Tāima PurePod. The views are ever-changing with the light and season. Sunsets turn the mountains golden in the final hours of light. Once the sun goes down, the amazing stars glisten above. Use a telescope provided to star gaze and spot the Southern Cross.

Tāima PurePod sits 350m above sea level, so at times you could be relaxing above the clouds.

Things to do

If you are able to tear yourself away from the luxurious comforts of Tāima PurePod, there’s so much to enjoy in Cromwell, Central Otago.

Tāima PurePod has easy access to the famous Lake Dunstan trail. Cyclists and walkers experiencing the Lake Dunstan Trail will marvel at the man-made landscapes and the rich Maori and early pioneer history.

If you are staying for a couple of days, set aside some time to explore other wonderful activities the region has to offer, such as exploring the flavours of Central Otago (award-winning restaurants and wineries) or jump on the Clutha River Heritage Cruise.

Of course, if such exploration is not quite what you desire, stretch out on the deck, enjoy a glass of locally-produced wine and embrace the complete absence of people and traffic.

The PurePod has all the facilities you require including a fabulous shower, flush toilet, crisp linen, cooking and eating equipment including a gas hob and barbeque, tea coffee and milk; as well as an assortment of games, local reference books, and a telescope.

Dinner and Breakfast Package

You can either bring your own supplies or pre-order a delicious breakfast and dinner food hamper when you make your reservation.

The dinner & breakfast hamper contains delicious fresh food grown, harvested, made and reared as locally as possible. You’ll start the evening fare with a scrumptious snack platter of cheese, bread and crackers, homemade dips and seasonal fruit. For the main course enjoy the chef’s selection of steak (ready for you to cook on either the gas cooktop or BBQ) accompanied by gourmet potatoes and seasonal vegetables or fresh salad.

Breakfast is muesli accompanied by fruit and yoghurt. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available on request.

Check in and Check Out

Check-in is from 3pm (but please make sure you arrive in plenty of time to walk to the PurePod before dark). Check-out is by 12 pm on the day of departure. 

Once you have confirmed your booking, you will receive special instructions on how to find your secret slice of paradise.
