Getting There

The drive to Greystone PurePod from Christchurch is a scenic journey through Canterbury’s wine country, with rolling vineyards, farmland, and charming rural towns setting the stage for your escape. It’s the perfect prelude to your stay, offering stunning views and a sense of tranquility.

From the carpark, cross a stile and follow the walking track through regenerating native bush. Look out for cabbage trees (ti kōuka), iconic to New Zealand, with their tall trunks, narrow leaves, and fragrant summer flowers that attract native birds.

As the track winds its way out of the bush, and makes it way to the Greystone PurePod. Please note, if you have mobility issues please let us know so we can provide an alternative route for you.

Private winery oasis

The Greystone PurePod sits on a spur in a paddock, high above the winery. While you are tucked away in your own private oasis, you have vast views down onto the winery and up the Waipara Valley. Depending on the time of the year, while relaxing on the PurePod deck, you may be able to glimpse workers in the far distance beavering away in the vines removing shoots, managing the foilage wires, picking grapes or pruning.

North Canterbury Attractions

The Greystone PurePod is perfectly situated to explore the Waipara wine region, known for its award-winning wineries and stunning landscapes. Spend a day visiting local vineyards like Greystone Wines or Pegasus Bay, where you can enjoy wine tastings and indulge in delicious cuisine.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the nearby Waipara Valley walking and cycling trails offer scenic routes through rolling hills and vineyards. If you’re a nature lover, take a trip to the Weka Pass, known for its dramatic limestone formations and rich Māori history.

Whether you’re exploring the region or relaxing in the peaceful surroundings, there’s something for everyone near Greystone PurePod.

There are no standard 240V power plugs due to the off grid nature of the PurePod as these require a high level of power. However, if your device is USB chargeable there is one of these available on the control panel above the kitchen sink.
